Privilege Tasting Workshop

This wine workshop in Sancerre is an immersive outdoor experience that takes place directly in one of our vineyard plots in Chavignol. A guide introduces you to our terroirs while leading a tasting of three Chavignol cuvées. This vineyard tasting allows you to understand our wines where they are born, in a truly scenic setting.

Tasting a wine in its place of origin offers a unique understanding of its aromas and structure. The landscape, soils, and exposure all take on meaning. This original activity in Sancerre creates a direct link between what you see around you and what you taste in the glass.

This vineyard tasting is designed for wine lovers seeking a deeper experience, while remaining accessible without prior knowledge. It is an ideal activity in Sancerre for couples, groups of friends (such as bachelor or bachelorette parties), or families.

The workshop takes place in our La Boutonne vineyard plot and begins with an introduction to the vineyard and the history of our Sancerre estate. You will then taste three Sancerre wines guided by our expert, while discovering the specific characteristics of the surrounding terroirs. The experience is conducted in a small group to encourage interaction and conviviality.

You will taste three cuvées representative of our estate, including some from emblematic plots such as La Côte des Monts Damnés and Le Cul de Beaujeu. This selection highlights the richness and diversity of our Chavignol terroirs.

This wine tourism experience is mainly offered from spring to autumn, when weather conditions allow full enjoyment of the vineyards. It is not available during harvest or periods of intense vineyard activity.

Yes, as this tasting takes place outdoors, it is directly dependent on weather conditions. In case of rain or unfavorable weather, the workshop may be adapted or rescheduled if possible.

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activity. Closed, flat shoes are recommended for walking through the vineyards. Depending on the season, consider sun protection (hat, sunscreen) or bringing a jacket.

Access to the vineyards requires walking on natural terrain, sometimes on slopes. The activity is therefore only partially accessible to people with reduced mobility. Please contact us in advance to assess accessibility options.

The meeting point is at our shop in Chavignol. From there, you will head to the vineyards with your guide. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to ensure a smooth start.

Before or after this immersive experience, explore the medieval town of Sancerre, its squares, and charming streets. Climb to the top of the hill for panoramic views over the vineyards and the Loire, then continue along the riverbanks on foot or by bike. You can also visit the Maison des Sancerre or enjoy a Crottin de Chavignol in a nearby village.
