This robust cuvée boasts a distinctive roundness, full body and delicate fruity notes. Its immediately assured character reflects the grit and determination required to work its parcels on Chavignol’s three steep slopes, which are expressed to perfection in this wine.
On the steep 20 to 25 degree slopes of Chavignol’s three hillsides, the work done by our teams is as complex as the Savignon Blanc grapes themselves. Grown on soils combining caillottes, griottes and marls, the wine enjoys an innate minerality. After the grapes are picked by hand, their expressive character is refined by precise vinification in barrels, amphorae and stainless steel vats, followed by six months’ ageing.
This refreshing, subtly generous Sancerre white wine with light yellow hues, an intense and mature aromatic bouquet, and an unforgettable mouthfeel with a chalky chewiness, leaves a lasting impression. This wine complements the refined flavours of salmon or sole with remarkable finesse.
